THATTA: Six people, including two women, were killed and several others injured after a tractor-trolley collided with overhead electricity wires in the Pir Jo Goth area on the outskirts of Thatta.
According to police, members of the Mallah community were returning to their village in a tractor-trolley after completing the harvesting of a rice crop when the vehicle came into contact with the power lines.
Authorities said the incident resulted in the deaths of six people, including two women, while several others sustained injuries.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed grief over the loss of lives and sought a report on the incident from the Hyderabad commissioner.
The chief minister also directed the authorities to ensure that the injured receive the best possible medical treatment.
