The federal government has issued orders for the appointments, transfers, and extensions in postings of several senior civil and police officers.
According to separate notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan has been granted a one-year extension in his contract with the approval of the Prime Minister.
The extension will take effect from September 4, 2026, and he will continue serving as Secretary of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Riazuddin Khan, a Grade-21 officer of the Secretariat Group currently posted as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been appointed Executive Director of the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.
The Establishment Division has also extended the posting of Joint Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office, Jahangir Mushtaq Warraich, for one year.
His extension will remain effective from July 28, 2026, to July 27, 2027.
The services of Grade-20 officer Naveed Ahmed Nisar Khawaja, who was awaiting posting at the Establishment Division, have been placed at the disposal of the Federal Constabulary.
Similarly, the services of Grade-20 PSP officer Muhammad Karim Khan, also awaiting posting, have been placed at the disposal of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The Establishment Division has also approved leave for Grade-20 PSP officer Imran Shahid, who will remain on leave until September 15, 2026.
In another move, the services of Grade-19 PSP officer Ahsan Saifullah have been placed at the disposal of the Punjab government.
