Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA) Chairman Bilal bin Saqib Friday held an important meeting with Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Niaz Ahmad to discuss cooperation in the emerging virtual assets sector.
The meeting focused on building national capacity in virtual assets, blockchain technology and tokenisation, with both sides discussing ways to involve leading universities in education, research and regulatory awareness.
The participants proposed involving major higher education institutions in developing relevant curricula and promoting research in emerging financial technologies.
They also discussed launching industry-linked training programmes to equip students and professionals with practical skills required by the rapidly developing virtual assets sector.
Both sides agreed to explore further collaboration between PVARA and HEC to strengthen academic capacity, research, and professional training in virtual assets and related technologies.
