Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting of the Committee constituted by the Prime Minister for review of the proposed reforms in the Power Sector.

The meeting reviewed progress on the reform and privatisation agenda, including institutional strengthening and capacity building of key institutions.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for a consumer-centric way forward, ensuring that ongoing reforms and privatisation translate into greater efficiency, sustainability and improved outcomes for electricity consumers.

Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of driving the reform process with a clear focus on results, institutional effectiveness and the long-term sustainability of the power sector.
