A video showing intense aerial firing at a private farmhouse in Karachi in the presence of PPP District Keamari president and MPA Liaquat Askani, has gone viral on social media.
According to details, the footage shows a clear violation of the law, with workers seen firing heavily into the air despite the presence of police personnel.
The video circulating online depicts Liaquat Askani and his associates enjoying a picnic with music playing. As the MPA jumped into a swimming pool, supporters began firing automatic weapons into the air in celebration.
He continued swimming while individuals around him kept firing and cheering.
The footage shows that as one person ran out of ammunition, another would take over, with the firing continuing for an extended period.
Notably, a police vehicle and armed officers were present at the farmhouse, but no action was taken to stop the firing.
Sources said multiple videos from the event were shared by participants, although the MPA’s official page only posted clips that did not include the firing.
Police sources noted that such incidents عادة lead to immediate registration of cases, often including attempted murder charges. However, no legal action has yet been reported in this instance despite the involvement of an influential figure and the presence of law enforcement.
