LARKANA : An 18-year-old employee of a private school in Pako village near Larkana died after reportedly consuming rat poison.
According to reports, Sajjad, son of Zahid Hussain Samtio, who was working as a peon at a private school in Pako village, suddenly fell unconscious after complaining of stomach pain this morning. The school administration immediately shifted him to the emergency ward of Chandka Hospital in Larkana, where doctors confirmed his death.
The school headmaster told journalists that Sajjad had been working at the school as a peon. He said the youth complained of severe stomach pain and suddenly became unconscious, following which the school administration rushed him to the hospital.
According to the headmaster, doctors and hospital staff found an empty wrapper of rat poison in the deceased’s pocket. The family of the deceased has been informed, while further details regarding the incident are awaited.
