KARACHI: The judicial commission probing the Mir Raza Ali murder case has summoned seven key witnesses to appear before the panel on September 3, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
The commission has issued summons to the SDPO Shahrah-e-Faisal and the SHO Ferozabad, directing both police officials to appear and record their statements.An online taxi driver, Ehsan, has also been summoned by the commission.
In addition, Mir Raza Ali’s business partners, Muhammad Ahmed and Abdullah Bharde, have been called to appear before the panel.
The commission has also summoned Mir Raza Ali’s friends, Razzaq and Haseem, as part of its proceedings.
All seven witnesses, including the police officials, business associates and friends of Mir Raza Ali, have been directed to appear before the judicial commission on September 3.
Earlier, family members and Edhi volunteers testified before the judicial commission, headed by SHC Justice Omar Sial in the ongoing probe of Mir Raza Ali murder case.
The commission summoned Mir Raza Ali’s father, Mir Hussain, to the rostrum and questioned him about when the family first learned that his son was missing. Mir Hussain said his wife was better placed to explain the circumstances surrounding the disappearance.

Mir Raza Ali’s mother told the judicial commission that she received a call from his friend Haitham at around 4:14am, informing her that Mir Raza had deleted all of his social media accounts. She said his fiancée had also contacted her, saying that Mir Raza was not responding to messages.
When the family checked his room, his keys and most of his belongings were still there, but Mir Raza was not at home, she said. His friends, Razzaq, Shehry and Kazim, subsequently reached the house and began searching for him.
