NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A two-day programme organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Government of Pakistan, in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ concluded in Islamabad.

The first day’s ceremony was held at the Pakistan National Council of Arts, attended by selected writers, poets and Naat reciters from across the country. The event was presided over by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousuf Khan.

Awards were distributed among winners in different categories. In the Sindhi Seerat category, Muhammad Nadeem secured first position, while Muhammad Faheem and Dr Shahzad Channa secured second positions. In the Sindhi Naat category, columnist and social activist Ejaz Mamnai won first position for his book “Haadi Sandi Hidayat” and received an award, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and a cash prize.

In the essay-writing category, Talat Yasmeen, Dr Kaneez Fatima Dogar and Rabia secured the top positions. This year’s column topic was “Protection, Development and Role of the New Generation in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ.”

The second-day ceremony was held at the Jinnah Convention Centre, where a national Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ conference was attended by religious scholars, federal ministers and ambassadors of Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, along with representatives from different schools of thought.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was the chief guest. Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and other scholars addressed the conference and stressed the importance of promoting the teachings and message of Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ in society.
