Following Iranian missile attacks, the United Arab Emirates has announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran, citing concerns over national security and sovereignty.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the decision to shut down the embassy was taken to safeguard the country’s security and protect its sovereign interests. The ministry confirmed that the embassy in Tehran will be closed and that the UAE ambassador, along with diplomatic staff, will be recalled.
The ministry strongly condemned the Iranian missile attacks, describing them as violations of the UAE’s sovereignty and national security. It emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and undermine regional stability.
The move marks a significant escalation in diplomatic tensions between the two countries amid the broader regional crisis. Further developments are expected as the situation continues to unfold.
