An important meeting of the All Pakistan Soomra Association (APSA) Hyderabad Division was held on Sunday at the APSA Hyderabad District Office under the chairmanship of Divisional President Professor Dr. Ijaz Ahmed Soomro. The meeting discussed various organizational matters, including the establishment of units, strengthening of the organizational structure, and preparations for the upcoming divisional convention.
The meeting was attended by office-bearers and members associated with different districts of the Hyderabad Division. Several important matters were discussed, and decisions were taken by consensus to make the organization more active, organized and stronger.
It was decided that nominations for the remaining three members of the APSA Hyderabad Division Executive Body would be obtained from Badin, Sujawal and Thatta districts. The three districts were directed to submit their nominations by August 30, 2026, so that the formation of the divisional executive body could be completed.
The meeting also took important decisions regarding the establishment of the remaining organizational units and formation of their respective bodies in Tando Muhammad Khan and Tando Allahyar districts. It was decided that the establishment and organizational formation of the remaining units in both districts would be completed by September 15, 2026, further strengthening and expanding the organizational structure of the division.
An important proposal regarding the establishment of the APSA Hyderabad Division office was also presented. APSA Hyderabad District President Mr. Shoukat A. Soomro proposed that the divisional office should also be established at the existing APSA Hyderabad District Office. All participants unanimously supported the proposal and termed it a positive step toward better coordination and administration. The participants also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shoukat A. Soomro for his cooperation and valuable contribution to the organization.
The meeting also discussed the APSA Hyderabad Division Convention in detail. It was decided that the divisional convention would be held during the winter holidays, with the third week of December 2026 proposed as the tentative schedule. Members of the APSA Central Executive Body, along with the presidents, secretaries, senior vice presidents and vice presidents of all districts and the division, would be invited to the convention.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation to APSA Hyderabad District President Mr. Shoukat A. Soomro for his excellent hospitality, arrangements and for presenting participants with Ajraks, a traditional symbol of Sindh’s cultural identity. The participants praised his hospitality and the well-organized arrangements for the meeting.
Finally, Divisional President Professor Dr. Ijaz Ahmed Soomro and all participating members exchanged words of thanks. The meeting concluded in a cordial and pleasant atmosphere.
