Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan underwent a medical examination and received treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad overnight between August 20 and 21.

According to the PIMS administration, two specialist doctors from Shifa International Hospital took part in Imran Khan’s eye examination, while other medical assessments and investigations were carried out by relevant specialists at PIMS.

The administration said it considered the medical opinion from the eye examination along with the results of all other medical tests conducted at PIMS.

A medical board comprising PIMS doctors subsequently reviewed and compiled all the findings before preparing Imran Khan’s medical fitness report.

PIMS said it would fully maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

 It added that the confidential contents and details of the medical report would not be made public.
