If you’ve ever wished that Google search results were more connected to your personal life, now it’s actually possible.
Google has introduced a Personalized Intelligence (AI) feature as part of its AI Mode in Google Search.
This feature connects with your Gmail and Google Photos to provide search results tailored to your personality and preferences.
AI Mode acts as Google’s “agent mode,” where AI technology performs searches on your behalf.
When you turn on Personalized Intelligence, the AI will use details from your emails and photos to deliver prioritized results.
For example, if you search for a new pair of shoes, Google AI can check your past emails and photos to see which brands of shoes you’ve purchased before.
Users must manually enable this feature.
Currently, it is an experimental feature from Google Labs and is available only for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
It will be accessible on web, Android, and iOS devices, and the company says it will soon expand availability outside the U.S.
Google has clarified that the AI will not use your entire Gmail inbox or other app data, but will be trained on limited details to generate personalized results.
