Naushahro Feroze (D.R.): Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity at the Judicial Complex Naushahro Feroze under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge Ameer Ali Mahesar. A special ceremony was organized to mark the national day.
The ceremony was formally inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge Ameer Ali Mahesar, who hoisted the national flag. Additional Deputy Commissioner (I) Muhammad Mustaqeem Qureshi, Additional District and Sessions Judges, Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges, office-bearers of the District Bar Association, lawyer leaders, and a large number of judicial staff attended the ceremony.
Following the flag hoisting, a smartly uniformed police contingent presented a salute to the national flag, while all participants respectfully stood for the national anthem.
Addressing the ceremony, District and Sessions Judge Ameer Ali Mahesar said that Independence Day reminds the nation of the unprecedented sacrifices made by its forefathers for the creation of a free homeland.
He said that justice and the rule of law are fundamental pillars of a free and sovereign society. He added that judges and lawyers are making efforts to provide justice to people at their doorsteps and to uphold the principles of fairness and equality.
As part of the Independence Day tree plantation campaign, a sapling was also planted within the premises of the Judicial Complex. A special prayer was offered for the security, stability, prosperity, and development of the country and nation, as well as for the supremacy and independence of the judiciary.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the District and Sessions Judge, along with lawyers and judicial officers, cut a cake to celebrate Independence Day and extended greetings and congratulations to all those present.
