Keamari: A fire broke out in containers at West Wharf, and handling operations on ships have been suspended.

In Keamari, a fire that started in a container carrying garments spread to multiple other containers.

According to a Rescue spokesperson, a fire broke out in a clothing container at Keamari West Wharf. Upon receiving the report, rescue teams immediately reached the scene.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson stated that the fire has engulfed several containers and 13 fire tenders are currently engaged in extinguishing the blaze.

Port sources said that due to the fire, handling operations on two ships at Karachi Port have been halted.
