A dignified farewell ceremony was held at Police Headquarters Garden South on the occasion of the retirement of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shamim Ahmed Farooqi.
The ceremony was held under the leadership of Additional Inspector General (IG) Karachi.
Senior police officers, including the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South and the Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters Garden, attended the event along with other senior officers.
During the ceremony, the Karachi Police Chief appreciated DSP Shamim Ahmed Farooqi for his long and valuable services to the Sindh Police Department.
The police chief praised his professional duties, commitment and outstanding performance during his career.
He said that DSP Shamim Ahmed Farooqi had made valuable contributions to the police department and performed his responsibilities professionally.
On the occasion, the police chief presented DSP Shamim Ahmed Farooqi with a traditional Sindhi Ajrak and a commemorative shield as a mark of respect and appreciation.
He also congratulated the retiring officer on completing his service and wished him success, good health and happiness in the next stage of his life.
Other senior officers present at the ceremony also appreciated the services of DSP Shamim Ahmed Farooqi.
The farewell ceremony was organized to recognize his long career and his contribution to the Sindh Police.
Police officials said that the services of officers who perform their duties with dedication remain valuable for the department.
The ceremony also reflected the department’s tradition of honoring officers at the end of their professional careers.
DSP Shamim Ahmed Farooqi thanked the police leadership and fellow officers for organizing the farewell ceremony and for recognizing his services.
