Artificial intelligence (AI) computers are rapidly becoming more common, but there is one device that cannot be ignored because of its extremely small size.
It is the AI Pocket Lab supercomputer by a company called Tiny.
This palm-sized AI supercomputer was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The computer also holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s smallest computer and can run various AI models.
At first glance, the Pocket Lab looks like a power bank, but it contains 80GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
This pocket-sized computer can generate images at lightning speed and responds quickly to video models and language models.
It has been developed by a company called Albersweiler, and turning a full computer into a palm-sized device is no easy task.
Thanks to its thermal design and energy efficiency, this AI mini supercomputer is able to operate effectively.
According to the company, the computer completes all AI processing within the device itself, with no data going outside.
Currently, most AI models rely on cloud GPUs, which require large amounts of electricity, subscription fees, and data storage on external cloud servers.
This AI computer offers a solution to all three issues: it ensures privacy, does not connect to any external server, and is relatively affordable.
It also comes with a desktop app that allows users with no coding knowledge to select and run dozens of AI models for text, images, and videos.
The device will be offered for sale through a Kickstarter campaign in the coming months, with a price set at $1,399.
