QUETTA: Security forces have killed 12 terrorists during intelligence-based operations conducted in Washuk and Mastung districts of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement, ISPR said that security forces carried out operations against militants in the two districts, resulting in the deaths of 12 militants described by the military as “khawarij.”
According to ISPR, on August 5, security forces detected the movement of six terrorists in Washuk district. During a timely and effective operation, six militants belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were killed.
ISPR further stated that another operation was conducted on August 6 in Mastung, where an intense exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists. As a result of the operation, six more terrorists were killed, while one of their hideouts was also destroyed.
The military’s media wing said that the operations conducted on August 5 and 6 were part of ongoing intelligence-based operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
ISPR added that under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, security forces and law enforcement agencies remain determined to eliminate terrorism completely. The statement said that operations will continue until the complete eradication of terrorism allegedly supported from abroad.
