SUKKUR Sukkur Police made comprehensive security arrangements during the Chehlum of the Martyrs of Karbala, ensuring the safe and peaceful conduct of mourning processions and gatherings across the city.
Under the supervision of ASP City Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohaib Amin, police personnel were deployed along the routes of the Chehlum processions as part of the security plan. SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan reviewed the arrangements and directed officers to ensure strict implementation of the security strategy.
Meanwhile, Sukkur Site Police Station SHO Naveed Nawaz Sheikh, along with his staff, performed security duties on the occasion. Speaking to AP News Bureau Chief Nadeem Qureshi and Pakistan Media Council Sukkur District General Secretary Muhammad Imran Mughal, officials highlighted the security measures and protective arrangements made for the event.
Police officials stated that foolproof security arrangements had been finalized for all mourning processions and Majalis, with additional personnel deployed at sensitive locations. They added that Sukkur Police remained fully alert to ensure the peaceful observance of Chehlum-e-Shuhada-e-Karbala and maintain law and order throughout the city.
