KARACHI: Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho has claimed that police have traced the case of young trader Mir Raza and will soon disclose further details.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, the IG Sindh said that the investigation into Mir Raza’s case had reached an important stage and that police would hold a press conference soon to present the facts and developments related to the case.
Commenting on the controversy surrounding the medico-legal investigation, Javed Alam Odho said that an unrelated medical-legal officer was commenting on the matter. He added that police had no objection to the formation of a medical board and that the investigation would proceed according to the board’s findings.
Meanwhile, Mir Raza’s father has stated that police have not yet recorded the family’s statement. He has previously raised concerns regarding the direction of the investigation and demanded a transparent inquiry into the case.
The case has attracted attention following questions raised over the post-mortem report and demands from the family for a thorough investigation.
