KARACHI: Rehman alias Bhola, a worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, has been released from police custody, according to media reports.
Rehman was recently acquitted in the Baldia factory case and was taken into custody from his residence in North Nazimabad following an incident of a clash and firing at the MQM Pakistan headquarters in Bahadurabad.
CCTV footage of police personnel taking Rehman into custody from his home had also surfaced.
According to sources cited in media reports, Rehman alias Bhola has now been released from police custody. Further details regarding the circumstances of his detention and release were not immediately available.
