ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The high-level delegation accompanying the Prime Minister includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting will focus on strengthening the longstanding brotherly ties and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, while also reviewing the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister will also perform Umrah during his stay in the Kingdom and pay his respects at Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah.
According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit is expected to enhance bilateral cooperation, promote diplomatic coordination, and reinforce joint efforts aimed at fostering regional peace, stability, and strategic collaboration between the two countries.
