Washington: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has stated that Pakistan’s victory in war has significantly elevated the country’s stature and prestige at the global level, giving it a position it had never achieved before. He said that following this victory, Pakistan’s image and credibility on the international stage have strengthened considerably.
Speaking to the media in Washington, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said that the success achieved by Pakistan in the war has not only reinforced national confidence but has also enhanced Pakistan’s diplomatic standing worldwide. He emphasized that the respect and recognition Pakistan has received internationally after this victory is unprecedented and reflects the country’s growing importance in global affairs.
The ambassador highlighted that the past year witnessed a marked improvement in Pakistan–United States relations. He said that multiple contacts were established between the top leadership of both countries, which played a crucial role in rebuilding trust and strengthening bilateral engagement. According to him, these high-level interactions demonstrate renewed momentum in diplomatic relations between Islamabad and Washington.
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh credited Pakistan’s leadership for this diplomatic progress, stating that the successful handling of foreign relations and strategic communication has helped Pakistan effectively present its position on regional and global issues. He said that Pakistan’s leadership adopted a balanced and forward-looking approach, which was appreciated by international partners, including the United States.
The ambassador further noted that Pakistan and the United States share a long-standing partnership based on mutual interests and cooperation across multiple sectors. He said that despite challenges in the past, both countries have continued to engage with each other, recognizing the importance of collaboration in areas such as security, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people contacts.
He added that Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in the United States is actively working to strengthen bilateral ties and project a positive image of the country. According to him, Pakistan’s diplomacy in the US is progressing successfully, and there are strong indications that Pakistan–US relations will further improve in the future. He expressed optimism that the partnership between the two countries will expand into new areas of cooperation.
