Islamabad: The Pakistan hockey team defeated South Korea 4-3 in the third match of the hockey test series at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad.
South Korea took the lead in the 10th minute of the match through a goal by Kim Hyun Jung, maintaining their advantage until the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Pakistan’s Hayat Zakaria scored a field goal to level the match. However, South Korea regained the lead in the 33rd minute when Jang Ji Hoon scored to make it 1-2.
In the third quarter, Pakistan’s Rana Waheed scored in the 45th minute to equalize, but South Korea’s Kim Yang responded five minutes later with another goal to put his team ahead.
The fourth quarter saw a strong comeback from Pakistan as Hannan Shahid and Abdul Rehman scored in the 55th and 57th minutes respectively, giving Pakistan a 4-3 lead that remained until the final whistle.
With this victory, Pakistan secured an unassailable 3-0 lead in the four-match test series against South Korea.
