Umerkot (By Ahmed Khan Bhurgri): Officials of the Sindh Food Authority, led by Assistant Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Tarkio, carried out surprise inspections at various bottled beverage shops, sweet shops, hotels, and other business establishments in Samaro to review compliance with food safety regulations.
The inspection team included Food Authority officers Kamlesh Kumar, Jalal Samejo, Daulat Kumar, and other relevant officials. During the operation, the team examined food quality, hygiene standards, and adherence to government regulations.
According to the officials, fines were imposed on several shopkeepers found violating food safety rules, while others received warnings and were directed to improve sanitation practices and maintain proper food quality standards.
A number of local journalists, including Gulji Surmani, Zafar Hussain Bhurgri, Rizwan Attari, and Raju Fakir, were present during the inspection and observed the proceedings.
District authorities and the Sindh Food Authority said such inspection drives would continue in the future to ensure the public has access to safe, hygienic, and quality food products.
