Naushahro Feroze: Disabled employees from various government departments staged a protest outside the District Accounts Office Naushahro Feroze against the failure to implement the increased disability allowance announced by the Sindh government.
Talking to the media, the protesting employees said that previously every disabled government employee was receiving a disability allowance of Rs. 6,000. However, the Sindh government recently increased the allowance by Rs. 4,000 in the provincial budget, raising it to Rs. 10,000.
The protesters alleged that the District Accounts Office Naushahro Feroze has not yet implemented the government’s announcement, due to which they are still being denied payment of the revised Rs. 10,000 allowance.
They demanded that the Sindh government’s decision be implemented immediately and the increased allowance be released to disabled employees so that they can overcome their financial difficulties.
The protesting employees warned that if their genuine demands are not accepted and they are not provided their rightful benefits, they will expand their protest movement.
