Tharushah: Unknown thieves broke into the houses of villagers in Syed Inayat Ali Shah village near Tharushah late at night and stole more than 16 tolas of gold ornaments, cash amounting to Rs. 500,000 to 600,000, and other valuable items.
The affected villagers — Syed Mushtaq Ali Shah, Syed Abdul Razzaq Shah, and Syed Altaf Shah — along with other residents, held a protest demonstration led by Altaf Shah, Syed Mushtaq Ali Shah, Abdul Razzaq Shah, Sarfaraz Soomro, Shakir Chauhan, Aleem Panhwar, Hameed Pathan, Farman Sindhu and others.
While speaking to the media, the protesters said that three to four unidentified thieves climbed onto the roofs of their houses using wooden supports placed outside. They entered the rooms through the stairway and broke open cupboards before taking away gold jewellery, cash, and other valuables.
The affected families said they belong to a Syed household and accused the thieves of violating the sanctity of their homes. They stated that they have no personal enmity with anyone and demanded immediate action against those responsible.
They appealed to MPA Syed Hassan Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Inspector General of Sindh Police, DIG Shaheed Benazirabad, SSP Naushahro Feroze, Sessions Judge Naushahro Feroze and other authorities to arrest the culprits, recover the stolen belongings, and provide justice.
Meanwhile, on the complaint of the affected villagers, Bhiria City Police started an investigation. With the help of sniffer dogs and tracking teams, police traced the suspected route of the thieves, which reportedly led towards the Channan community’s residence near village Nabhorro.
Police have reportedly detained one person on suspicion and shifted him to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
