Australia: Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has sustained a knee injury while playing for Brisbane Heat in the Australian Big Bash League (BBL). The injury occurred during the match against Adelaide Strikers on Saturday.

Brisbane Heat confirmed that Shaheen Afridi is undergoing knee rehabilitation, and the team will conduct a thorough medical assessment of his knee upon returning from Adelaide.

The franchise also announced that Shaheen will not participate in tomorrow’s match against Adelaide Strikers as he focuses on recovery.

Shaheen’s injury has raised concerns for both Brisbane Heat and the Pakistan national team, as the fast bowler plays a key role in their bowling attack. The team and medical staff are taking all necessary precautions to ensure his safe return to play.

This development comes just as Shaheen had been performing consistently in the BBL, and fans are hoping for a swift recovery so he can return to competitive action both in the league and for international fixtures.
