Naushero Feroze: Candidates who passed the 2013 NTS test for teaching positions held a protest outside the Press Club Naushero Feroze against the non-issuance of their offer orders.
The protest was led by Syed Faheem Shah, Shehzada Wastiro, Shahmeer Solangi, Amjad Wastiro, and others.
Addressing the protest, the candidates said that they had passed the NTS test in 2013 on merit as teacher applicants, but they had been protesting across Sindh for the last 13 years for their rights.
They alleged that the Sindh government recruited its preferred candidates through artificially created vacancies on a Union Council basis, while hundreds of candidates who secured between 60 and 97 marks were deprived of their rightful appointments.
The protesters said they approached courts for justice, and the courts also recognized their rights, but despite this, the Sindh government had not provided them relief.
They further alleged that the government continued to introduce policies and recruit thousands of teachers by declaring areas as “hard areas,” while NTS 2013 test-passed candidates remained deprived of their appointments.
The candidates said they had continued their struggle and protests throughout Sindh for 13 years, but no one had listened to their demands. They accused successive governments of making promises but failing to fulfill them.
They warned that their protest would continue until they receive their due rights and appointment orders.
