JAMSHORO: Kotri Police arrested two suspects and seized a large quantity of harmful gutka and mainpuri material worth millions of rupees during a crackdown against illegal narcotics.
The operation was carried out on the directives of SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhanga under the supervision of DSP Kotri Shah Nawaz Jhokio and SHO Kotri Inspector Ghulam Asghar Tanio.
Police arrested the suspects, identified as Syed Bilawal and Saif-ur-Rehman, and recovered 150 bags containing harmful chewing tobacco material allegedly used in the preparation of gutka and mainpuri. The recovered material has been taken into custody.
A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant legal provisions, and further investigations are underway to identify and arrest other individuals involved in the illegal network.
Jamshoro Police stated that operations against those endangering public health will continue without discrimination and that no one will be considered above the law.
