Lisbon: Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to marry his long-time partner, Georgina Rodríguez, on August 8 in Madeira, Portugal, according to international media reports.
The couple is expected to hold their wedding ceremony at the historic Funchal Cathedral, followed by a grand reception at a five-star hotel on the island. Madeira is particularly significant to Ronaldo, as it is his birthplace and where he spent his childhood.
Media reports suggest that two floors of the luxury hotel, along with several bars, will be reserved for the celebrations, fueling speculation that the venue is being prepared exclusively for the high-profile wedding. However, Ronaldo and Rodríguez have not officially confirmed the reports.
The couple first met in 2016 and announced their engagement in August 2025. They have five children together. Ronaldo has previously shared that his eldest daughter played an important role in encouraging him to propose to Georgina.
Earlier Portuguese media had suggested that the football icon planned to marry after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but the latest reports indicate the ceremony could take place this month if confirmed.
