In a significant law enforcement operation in Karachi, authorities have arrested several individuals involved in running online fraud schemes, including more than ten foreign nationals. The crackdown targeted high-profile locations in the Defense area, highlighting the growing concern over cybercrime in the city.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), in coordination with other sensitive intelligence agencies, conducted raids in Defense Phase 1 and Phase 6. According to sources, the operation focused on offices and residential setups where the suspects were actively engaged in executing various online fraud schemes.

During the raids, law enforcement officials seized large quantities of data, which is expected to assist in ongoing investigations and potentially reveal the scale and network of the cybercriminal operations. The arrested suspects are currently in custody and are being interrogated to identify accomplices and further illegal activities.

Officials noted that the involvement of foreign nationals indicates that these fraud schemes may have been operating on an international scale, targeting victims both inside and outside Pakistan. Authorities are reviewing digital evidence, including computers, servers, and other devices, to track transactions and communications associated with the fraud operations.

The operation demonstrates the Pakistani authorities’ intensified efforts to combat cybercrime, particularly sophisticated online fraud networks that exploit technology and cross-border connections. NCCIA emphasized that all individuals found involved in such illegal activities will face strict legal action under cybercrime laws.

Residents in Karachi have been urged to exercise caution regarding unsolicited online offers, investment schemes, and suspicious digital communications, while law enforcement agencies continue to strengthen measures to protect citizens from cyber fraud.

The ongoing investigation may lead to additional arrests as authorities work to dismantle the networks behind these scams. The operation also serves as a warning to cybercriminals that law enforcement agencies in Pakistan are actively monitoring and prosecuting illegal online activities.
