KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs1,000, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).

The association said the new price of one tola of gold now stands at Rs427,436.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs857, reaching Rs366,457.

In the international market, the price of gold also moved upward, gaining $10 per ounce to reach $4,050 per ounce.

Gold prices in Pakistan generally fluctuate in line with movements in the international bullion market and changes in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
