SSP Sukkur Meets Traders, Reaffirms Commitment to Law and Order

SUKKUR: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Azhar Khan Mughal has said that maintaining law and order, curbing criminal activities and eliminating social evils remain the top priorities of Sukkur Police, adding that the protection of citizens’ lives and property will not be compromised.

He made these remarks during a meeting at his office with a delegation of the Traders Supreme Council Sukkur, led by its President Haji Shafi Abbasi. Other participants included Mumtaz Lucky, Abdul Ghaffar, Memon Naveed Iqbal Arain, Asif Memon, Mujeeb Akhund, Abdul Waheed, Muhammad Shahid, Muhammad Amjad, and other trader representatives.

SSP Mughal said police officers and personnel were performing their duties with dedication and that the performance of all police stations across the district was being monitored on a daily basis. He added that a system of rewarding good performance and taking action against poor performance was also in place.

He acknowledged the important role of the business community in maintaining peace and appreciated the cooperation extended by traders to the police.

During the meeting, the trader representatives congratulated SSP Mughal on performing Umrah and conveyed their best wishes.

The delegation also raised concerns regarding issues affecting citizens and the business community, including security arrangements, traffic congestion and other civic matters. They requested the police to address these problems promptly.

In response, SSP Mughal assured the delegation of his full cooperation and directed the relevant police officers to take immediate steps to resolve the issues highlighted during the meeting.
