In a prestigious recognition of his lifelong dedication to public health and medical services, Dr. Pir Ghulam Nabi Shah Jailani, Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent at the Civil/DHQ Hospital Mirpurkhas, Sindh, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award along with a Certificate of Excellence by the Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP). The award was presented on behalf of Provincial Health Minister of Punjab, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, acknowledging Dr. Jailani’s exceptional contribution to the field of healthcare and his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Pakistan, particularly the residents of Sindh.
According to detailed reports, the award was conferred during the inaugural ceremony of the 35th Annual International Conference of Family Medicine, The Family Con 2025, held from November 13, 2025, at a prominent hotel in Lahore. The conference brought together leading medical professionals, health administrators, and policymakers from across Pakistan, providing a platform to discuss innovations, challenges, and advancements in family medicine and public health.
Dr. Jailani’s recognition was described as a tribute to his lifetime of dedication to healthcare, particularly for his exemplary services in the public health sector. Over the course of his career, Dr. Jailani has been instrumental in implementing programs that enhance healthcare accessibility, improve patient care, and promote awareness about preventive health practices in Sindh.
