Islamabad: A 25-year-old candidate appearing for the Islamabad Police recruitment process died after collapsing during the physical fitness test, police officials confirmed.
According to Islamabad Police, the candidate, identified as Ishaq, suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness while participating in the running test.
Emergency personnel immediately shifted him by ambulance to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Emergency Department for treatment.
However, police said doctors informed them that the young man had passed away before reaching the hospital.
The deceased was identified as Ishaq, a resident of Sarai Naurang in Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact cause of death. Further medical and legal procedures are expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The tragic incident occurred during the recruitment process for Islamabad Police, where candidates are required to complete physical fitness tests as part of the selection criteria. Officials have expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
