In a heartwarming gesture that highlights community engagement and compassion, Dubai Police have fulfilled the dream of a three-year-old girl, Sarah Nabeel, who wished to become a police officer for a day.
According to official reports, the initiative was carried out as part of Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public relations and bring joy to children through meaningful community interactions. The young girl had expressed her dream of wearing the police uniform and riding in one of Dubai Police’s luxury patrol cars — a wish that the force made sure to turn into reality.
Sarah’s touching request came during a community event organized at a local hospital, where she told officers she wanted to become a “little police officer.” Her innocent wish captured the attention of the School Security Initiative Team, who immediately decided to make her dream come true.
Soon after, Sarah and her family were invited to the Dubai Police Headquarters, where they received a warm welcome from senior officials, including Captain Majid bin Saad Al Kaabi, Head of the School Security Initiative, and Lieutenant Maryam Essa, the Deputy Head of the team.
The little girl was given a specially tailored Dubai Police uniform, complete with badges and a cap. She was also escorted on a short patrol ride in one of Dubai Police’s iconic luxury vehicles, a symbol of the city’s modern law enforcement image.
The experience was designed to give Sarah a taste of what it feels like to serve and protect, even if just for a day. Photographs and videos from the event show the delighted child smiling proudly in her uniform as officers saluted her and treated her as an honorary member of the police force.
