A video showing a cricket fan shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” after shaking hands with Indian cricket team captain Shubman Gill has gone viral across social media platforms, sparking a wave of reactions from both Indian and Pakistani fans online.

The incident reportedly took place in Adelaide, Australia, where Shubman Gill was seen standing alongside Indian fast bowler Harshit Rana when the fan approached him. In the viral footage, the fan can be seen reaching out for a handshake, which Gill courteously accepted. However, immediately after the handshake, the fan raised the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad”, surprising onlookers and leaving Gill visibly taken aback.

The short clip, which has since spread widely on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube, has generated intense debate among cricket enthusiasts. Many users from India expressed anger, calling the act disrespectful towards the Indian national team, while others viewed it as a light-hearted prank or an instance of spontaneous fan behavior.

Pakistani social media users, on the other hand, shared the video enthusiastically, celebrating the fan’s bold gesture. Some users commented humorously that the slogan reflected the “spirit of cricket rivalry,” while others praised the fan for expressing his patriotic sentiment in a non-violent and public manner.
