HYDERABAD: An open court was held at the District Accounts Office Hyderabad, where Regional Director of the Ombudsman Hyderabad Syed Muhammad Sajjad Haider heard complaints from pensioners, retired government employees and other citizens regarding pension and financial matters and directed the concerned authorities to take necessary steps for their resolution.
The open court was organized on the directives of the Provincial Ombudsman and the Accountant General Sindh with the objective of providing pensioners, retired government employees and members of the public with an opportunity to present their grievances directly before the relevant authorities.
District Accounts Officer Syed Iftikhar Shah, concerned officers of the District Accounts Office and a large number of citizens attended the open court.
During the proceedings, a significant number of pensioners and citizens presented their individual cases before the Regional Director. Most of the complaints were related to delays in the issuance of pensions, non-payment or delays in pension arrears, fixation of pensions, outstanding dues, commutation, family pensions and problems concerning pension records.
