KARACHI: The Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) Manghopir has intensified work on development projects in Union Council-1 Ghazi Goth and adjoining areas to improve roads, sewerage, and other municipal infrastructure.
According to a press release issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations, the projects are being carried out under the special directives of Town Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi to address the area’s long-standing civic issues and provide residents with improved basic facilities.
The statement said road construction and rehabilitation work in Ghazi Goth is progressing rapidly. Upon completion, the project is expected to improve traffic flow, ease transportation, and resolve persistent issues caused by damaged roads, contributing to the area’s overall economic and social development.
To review the progress, Town Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi visited the project site in Union Council-1, where he inspected the ongoing road works and received a detailed briefing from engineers and other officials. He instructed the concerned authorities to ensure the use of high-quality construction materials and modern engineering standards to deliver durable and reliable infrastructure.
During the visit, Brohi also reviewed the area’s long-standing sewerage problems and directed officials to expedite work on the sewerage improvement project. He emphasized the need for an effective drainage system to prevent waterlogging on roads and streets during rainfall and improve sanitation conditions.
The Town Chairman took notice of slow progress at certain locations and ordered officers and contractors to speed up work. He warned that unnecessary delays in development projects would not be tolerated and stressed that all schemes must be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Brohi further directed officials to maintain strict quality control, ensure transparency, and continuously monitor every stage of construction. He said all technical standards must be fully observed and instructed field staff to perform their duties with honesty and responsibility.
He reaffirmed that providing quality municipal services and improving the living standards of residents remain the top priorities of TMC Manghopir, adding that all available resources would be utilized to ensure the timely completion of development projects for the benefit of the public.
