LAHORE: Renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam is set to make a highly anticipated return with his new music album, Subah Aaye Na, which is scheduled for release on July 31.
One of South Asia’s most celebrated artists, Atif Aslam has remained at the forefront of the music industry for more than two decades, with his popularity continuing to grow across the globe.
According to the latest figures released by audio streaming platform Spotify, Atif Aslam’s songs have been streamed nearly 8 billion times, while he attracts more than 30 million monthly listeners. His music is regularly enjoyed in 184 countries, reflecting his extensive international fan base.
The data also highlights the singer’s strong global appeal, revealing that 96 percent of his streams over the past year came from outside Pakistan, with listeners concentrated in the Middle East, North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Known for his versatility across pop music, film soundtracks, and spiritual compositions, Atif Aslam continues to enjoy remarkable popularity among Generation Z (Gen Z) audiences.
Spotify statistics indicate that 85 percent of his listeners are young people, underscoring his enduring relevance with a new generation of music fans.
Over the past year, more than 41 million new and returning listeners have discovered or revisited his music, while fans worldwide have added his songs to over 37.5 million personal playlists, demonstrating the broad appeal of his work across different moods and occasions.
Speaking about the upcoming album, Atif Aslam described it as a deeply personal project.
“This album reflects a journey from inner turmoil toward reconnecting with my true self,” he said. “I am incredibly excited to share it with my fans, and I hope they enjoy this musical experience.”
