DADU: The Central Committee of the Dadu Rabta Committee Civil Society has announced a protest sit-in and symbolic hunger strike to highlight a range of civic issues affecting Dadu city and Taluka Dadu.
The decision was taken during an important meeting held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, under the chairmanship of Central Chairman Ghulam Mustafa Janwari.
The meeting discussed key public concerns, including prolonged artificial electricity load shedding, the alleged poor performance of the Municipal Committee Dadu, which participants claimed has left the city and surrounding areas covered with heaps of garbage, and alleged corruption, irregularities, and public grievances in the offices of the Assistant Commissioner (AC) Dadu, the Mukhtiarkar Office, and the Revenue Department.
Participants expressed serious concern over the issues and unanimously resolved to intensify their ongoing protest campaign to press the authorities for immediate action.
The committee announced that a protest sit-in and symbolic hunger strike will be held outside the Dadu Press Club on Thursday, July 23, 2026, to draw the attention of the relevant authorities toward the unresolved civic problems.
Following the meeting, office-bearers of the Dadu Rabta Committee Civil Society met local residents, urged them to participate in the planned demonstration, and distributed invitation letters for the protest.
Among those attending the meeting were Central Secretary Mukhtiar Ali Jatoi, Farooq Ali Jatoi, Murad Ali Jatoi, Zulfiqar Unar, and other central office-bearers and committee members.
