BADIN: A friendly football match organized by All Friends Football Club Badin was held at the Railway Station Ground, where Hazara Combined Football Club Hyderabad defeated the hosts 2-1 after a competitive contest.
The event was attended by District Sports Officer Anwar Ali Roshan as the chief guest, along with Assistant Sports Officer Abdul Razzaq Khaskheli, District Council Chief Officer Ashok Kumar, Maqbool Ahmed Zai, and Muhammad Bhambhro.
Speaking on the occasion, District Sports Officer Anwar Ali Roshan said that sports play a vital role in the physical, mental, and moral development of young people. He emphasized that promoting sports is essential for building a healthy society, as it encourages youth to engage in positive activities and keeps them away from drugs and other social evils.
He said the Sindh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and the Provincial Sports Minister, is taking practical steps to promote sports across the province. These efforts include organizing sports competitions, talent hunt programs, upgrading sports grounds, and providing better facilities to athletes to help young players showcase their abilities.
Roshan added that sporting activities in Badin are also increasing rapidly, encouraging greater participation among local youth. He expressed hope that sports organizations, clubs, and players in the district would continue working together to promote sports and enable Badin’s athletes to represent the district successfully at provincial and national levels.
At the conclusion of the event, the guests praised the excellent performance of both teams, congratulated Hazara Combined Football Club on its victory, and stressed the importance of continuing such healthy sporting activities in the future.
