SHEIKHUPURA: Police have registered a case against a man accused of assaulting stage actress Shama Naz after allegedly climbing onto the stage during a theatre performance.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Shama Naz told police that a young man forcibly entered the stage while the play was in progress and physically assaulted her.
She further stated that when her driver tried to intervene and protect her, the suspect also slapped him.
The actress alleged that the man demanded that she engage in an inappropriate act, and when she refused, he became aggressive and attacked her.
Police identified the suspect as Raja Zain.
Officials at City A Division Police Station have registered a case and launched a search operation to arrest the suspect.
The allegations are based on the complainant’s statement, and the matter remains under investigation. The suspect’s version of events has not yet been made public.
