LAHORE: A woman and her three children were found dead inside a house in a private housing society in Lahore, while the children’s father has been taken into police custody as investigations continue.
According to police, the bodies of the woman and her three children were recovered from the residence. Authorities believe the deaths were caused by suspected poisoning, although the exact cause will be determined after forensic examinations and post-mortem reports.
The deceased children were reportedly between five and fifteen years of age.
SP Model Town said that preliminary investigations suggest the mother and children were given a poisonous substance. Based on the initial findings, police have taken the children’s father into custody for questioning.
Officials stressed that the investigation is ongoing and that the circumstances surrounding the deaths are still being examined.
Father and Two Sons Die in Suspected Poisoning in Okara
In a separate incident, police reported that a father and his two sons died from suspected poisoning in Shaukatabad, Okara.
According to police, a man identified as Arif allegedly mixed poisonous tablets into a curry after becoming distressed over his wife leaving the family home. Police said he reportedly consumed the food himself and also fed it to his two sons.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Police have not yet released further details in either case, and both incidents remain under investigation.
