DOHA: Qatar has firmly denied reports claiming it agreed to participate in military action against Iran, describing the allegations as false and misleading.
In a statement, the Qatar International Media Office rejected reports published by certain Israeli media outlets alleging that Doha had consented to join military operations against Iran.
The media office said the claims were being spread by individuals seeking to draw Qatar into the conflict, undermine its role as a mediator, and increase tensions and instability in the region.
According to the statement, Qatari authorities have consistently maintained since the beginning of the conflict that Qatar has neither participated in nor intends to participate in any military action against a neighboring country.
The statement further emphasized that Qatar would not allow what it described as misleading allegations to undermine its active diplomatic efforts.
The media office reiterated that Qatar remains committed to working with regional and international partners to help end the conflict and support efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive and sustainable agreement that addresses the concerns of all parties.
Qatar’s statement comes in response to reports carried by some Israeli media organizations. No independent evidence has been presented to support the claims rejected by Doha.
