KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant increase on Saturday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs2,400 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).
Following the increase, the price of one tola of gold reached Rs424,236 in local markets across the country.
The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,057, taking it to Rs363,713.
Meanwhile, in the international market, the price of gold rose by $24 per ounce, reaching $4,018 per ounce.
Jewellers attributed the rise in domestic gold prices to the increase in international bullion rates, which continue to influence local market trends. Traders are closely monitoring global economic developments and precious metals markets, as further fluctuations in international prices may affect gold rates in Pakistan in the coming days.
