Karachi, October 7, 2025: A delegation from an electric car manufacturing company met Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon at his office in the Sindh Secretariat, Karachi. Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Saeed Ghani was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the delegation gave a detailed briefing on the company’s electric vehicle (EV) models, local assembly plans, and proposed charging infrastructure projects across Sindh. The discussions also covered potential areas of partnership between the provincial government and the private sector to promote electric mobility in the province.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasized that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Sindh government are committed to providing modern, eco-friendly, and affordable transport facilities to the people of Sindh. He stated that the government aims to launch an electric taxi service soon, enabling citizens to enjoy efficient transportation while reducing fuel consumption and curbing environmental pollution.

“The Sindh government is working in collaboration with the private sector to develop comprehensive strategies for public transport and related industries,” he said. “Electric vehicle technology will not only create new employment opportunities but also bring innovation and investment to the province’s industrial landscape.”

The senior minister added that the Sindh government is fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and that the introduction of electric vehicles represents a major step toward sustainable progress.

This initiative is part of Sindh’s broader plan to modernize urban transport, encourage clean energy adoption, and position the province as a leader in green mobility in Pakistan.
