SANGHAR: Pir Pagara, the spiritual leader of the Hur Jamaat, has taken notice of the alleged allotment of more than 2,800 acres of government land in Deh Jiendo, Sanghar Taluka, to influential individuals, prompting a large protest by members of the Hur community.

Acting on Pir Pagara’s directives, four senior Khalifas of the Hur Jamaat—Khalifo Ali Ghulam Nizamani, Khalifo Muhammad Hashim Khaskheli, Khalifo Qasim Faqeer Mehr, and Khalifo Dodo Unar—along with Faisla Committee Chairman Saeed Khan Nizamani and hundreds of Hur community members, staged a protest demonstration in Deh Jiendo against the land allotments.

Addressing the gathering, the protest leaders claimed that Deh Jiendo is a historic area of the Hur community and that its residents have rendered significant services and sacrifices for the country. They said members of the Hur Jamaat laid down their lives during the struggle for independence and later stood alongside the Pakistan Army in defending the country’s borders during the wars of 1965 and 1971.

The speakers alleged that despite these sacrifices, the Sindh government had allotted thousands of acres of government land in the area to influential individuals, depriving local residents of their rights and livelihood. They maintained that the allocations were unjust and demanded their immediate cancellation.

The protesters called upon the provincial authorities to review the land allotments and restore the land to its rightful beneficiaries. They warned that if the government failed to revoke the allocations, the Hur Jamaat would launch a stronger protest movement in the coming days.

The demonstration concluded with participants reiterating their demand for the cancellation of the disputed land allotments and urging the Sindh government to address their concerns without delay.
