In an important political development ahead of the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, candidates from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced their decision to join the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) of Aleem Khan.

According to details, Malik Zulfiqar Ali, a candidate from LA-8 and Malik Muhammad Yousuf, a candidate from LA-10, met IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan and joined the party.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that IPP would work to permanently resolve the issues facing Azad Kashmir and end the sense of deprivation among the people.

During the meeting, Aleem Khan presented party flags to the new entrants. He announced that the party would participate fully in the upcoming Azad Kashmir elections.

Aleem Khan added that improved infrastructure would help create employment opportunities in the region. Aun Chaudhry, Member of the National Assembly, was also present on the occasion.

Several political and social figures from Azad Kashmir also met Aleem Khan, including Muslim League leaders Malik Muhammad Ilyas, Chaudhry Amir Qabil, Malik Nizam Iqbal Minhas and former Teachers Union President Hafiz Kazim Malik.
