punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday to discuss the provincial budget, ongoing development initiatives, and the broader political situation.
During the meeting, the CM congratulated the speaker on smooth conduct of the budget session. In response, Malik Ahmed Khan thanked the chief minister for presenting what he described as a public welfare-oriented budget.
Malik Ahmed Khan highly appreciated the initiative of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to run electric buses at the district and tehsil levels for the first time in Punjab. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif acknowledged and highly praised the services of Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan for the Punjab Assembly.
CM Maryam Nawaz said that the Speaker’s steps for modernizing the Punjab Assembly and digitizing records are very impressive. She said the role of Speaker Malik Ahmed Khan in making excellent legislation and running the House in a very efficient and thoughtful manner is a matter of pride.
